Welcome to Swanage Methodist Church!
Mission Statement: Our vision is to demonstrate to the people of Swanage, and beyond, the love of God we see reflected in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, in order to bring about lasting spiritual and social transformation.
Swanage Methodist Church has a membership of about 90 people. Our main Sunday Service is held at 10.30am and includes "Storykeepers" - our junior Church. Our Music group often play in our Church services which are also enhanced by the use of a projector.
There is also a mid-week prayer group, women's meeting and two local house groups meeting in Swanage on a monthly basis. Up to 30 toddlers attend our weekly Toddlers Group with their parents and carers and a similar number attend Notelets, a music group for pre-school children, led by Swanage Surestart. Tetra, our fortnightly youth club, has a membership of around 15 young people who enjoy a variety of activities.
Our Church hall is used for a variety of community activities including a dancing school, badminton, tai chi and Brownies. During the summer months various uniformed groups from other parts of the country use the excellent facilities, staying on the premises for their summer camps.
The local Churches Together scene is strong in Swanage and our Church plays its part in all the ecumenical activities which take place.
