Mission Statement: Our vision is to demonstrate to the people of Swanage, and beyond, the love of God we see reflected in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, in order to bring about lasting spiritual and social transformation.
Welcome to Swanage Methodist Church! We are an active Church located near the centre of Swanage in Dorset.
Our main Sunday Service is held at 10.30am and includes a lively breakfast club and programme of activities for children. There is also a mid-week prayer group, music group and two local house groups. Our Toddlers Group sees many children, parents and carers enjoying a wide range of games, toys and singing. Our two youth groups are Tetra & Juice. Tetra is for Children in school years 3-6 and Juice is a group for older children in school years 7-9. Our Church hall is used for a variety of community activities including parents & toddler groups, a dancing school, badminton and tai-chi. During the summer various uniformed groups (Boys' Brigade, Girls' Brigade, Scouts, Brownies and Youth Groups) from across the country use the excellent facilities, staying on the premises for their summer camps.
The local Churches Together scene is strong in Swanage and our Church plays its part in all the ecumenical activities which take place. The photo on the left is of our Good Friday Drama.
